This Custom Japanese Damascus Chefs Knife is of high quality and one of our best sellers. On-par with some of the best Japanese style knives on the market, this knife is razor sharp and customizable with your choice of handle materials, mosaic pins and engraving. Made with VG-10 steel, it is stainless, highly corrosion resistant and holds an edge very well, so it rarely needs sharpening.

Notes:

  • Hand wash your blades with gentle dish soap, rinse clean and towel dry immediately.
  • Hone your blades with a steel or ceramic rod regularly to keep them sharp. We recommend sharpening VG-10 steel blades with a whetstone at an angle of 16° (15° to 20° is acceptable).
  • CAUTION: Do not chop bone or use this knife on a hard surface like a glass cutting board, tile, or granite. Japanese blades have a hard, thin edge for razor sharpness, hard surfaces can dull them over time. Using them (or any chefs knife) like a cleaver is not advised, it may chip the blade.
