Description
This Spalted Maple Treasure Themed Charcuterie Board recreates a Spanish treasure horde as it might look if found by a diver. The wood is live-edge spalted maple with a large inclusion and some curly features. The live-edge is burned-in keeping with the shipwreck theme. The “treasure” sits on real Florida beach sand and shells collected by the artist. Near the front are two pieces of burnt wood from a real shipwreck that has wood-boring barnacles in it. The treasure consists of semi-precious stones of green-amethyst and fluorite to simulate emeralds. The coins are reproductions of gold doubloons and there is a length of gold-plated chain. The board is 24″ long x 12″ wide and is 1.5″ thick – this is a heavy board at around 14-lbs. There are no handles and it has rubber feet. The epoxy is UV and heat resistant up to 400 degrees, but is NOT for cutting upon. This is true display-piece!
